Bored of your home or neighborhood pool, but still want to soak up the last rays of summer? Visit The Texas Pool in Plano! The Texas Pool is hosting an unforgettable Labor Day bash, complete with a Cannonball Contest, pool games, hot dogs, and prizes.

The Dallas Arboretum

Though September signals the end of summer, the lush gardens of the Dallas Arboretum are still in full bloom. Labor Day is the perfect opportunity to retreat from your daily grind and embrace the beautiful flowers, trees, lawns, and statues at the Arboretum. Take advantage of your day off and explore the exhibits and events offered nearly every day.

You can choose to have a relaxing day lounging on a pontoon boat, or an adrenaline-filled afternoon skiing, tubing, and wake boarding.


Looking for a fun way to spend the afternoon –  away from the beating sun? Check out an indoor arcade! Free Play Arcade in Richardson, Denton, and Arlington has a massive collection of retro pinball and arcade games. Entrance fees are only $11.00 per person and include unlimited play time on all games and machines. For those 21 and over, Free Play also has an award-winning bar.
